Colorful Streets of Kathmandu, Nepal
All of Nepal is sensory overload. It was as if I had been transported back in time about 2000 years. From the moment I stepped off the plane and out of the airport as many as 20 people, all trying to eek out a meager living, were 'in my face' offering everything from taxi rides to tiger balm We negotiated a taxi ride to 'our hotel' proceeded to travel on unpaved rutted roads with children playing and cows walking in the middle. Our route took us down some back alleys and across an open area where there was a field game being played My initial reaction was panic and fear. But there was no need and as I let go of the panic and fear I began to enjoy their sense of life and business | |
