There are several villages of indigenous peoples that make their home around this lake. I spent some time traveling in a small boat from village to village learning about their traditions, religions and customs. At the end of the day as I was preparing to leave and waiting for my ride back to Antigua, this was my view.
I was acquiring an appreciation for each villages' local blouse called a huipil. I could see that those worn by older people were more intricate. I wondered if the younger adults were losing their appreciation for the details of their historical craft.
