Sunday 4/9/06 - 6 Days Post Surgery

7am: I had a hard night. Percocet is starting to give me a headache and I wake up in less than 4 hours. I'm going to use Tylenol tonight. Sitting up at the computer for 15 minutes and stretching helped with the pain in the middle of the night. Then I sleep for another 2-3 hours.

9am: I am more flexible in my hip region, but have more discomfort in other parts of my body this morning. I believe that it is the stretching, Megan the physical therapist had me do yesterday. It's not a high level of pain, just noticeable. I will post more as the day goes on and then summarize this evening.

5pm: I've ached more today than any other day. The whole area aches and fatigues easier today. Megan thought that might happen after she deep massaged the scar tissue yesterday. The pain is not debilitating, but rather annoying. I'm not taking Vicoden because it makes me feel like I have a bad hangover. The price of Percocet is a head ache after 2 hours. Tylenol only partially relieves the pain.

A hot shower helps relieve the pain. Some stretching helps relieve some of the pain. I have to experiment.

On the plus side, I can put on and take off my TED HOSE by myself. It takes time, but makes life easier. I don't have to wait for my husband. I'm more independent.

I plan on watching some tv this evening, taking 2 Tylenol PM and then going to sleep early. I'm rather tired.
