Who Why How   Brief Overview   Weekly Summary   Daily Summary   Read Journal   Monday 5/8/06 - 35 Days Post Surgery 7am: It's a new week and I'm ready for something new to happen. I feel pretty good compared to last week. 5pm: The bedroom was getting to me. I hadn't seriously cleaned or organized it since my hip started bothering me last September. That was 8 months ago. Since then I had spent quite a bit of time in there. The books were dusty and had not been returned to the shelves with any organization once they were removed. There was a wide range of evidence that a 'sick' person had lived there and it. Seeing the whole thing affected my mood. So I started putting away papers that I needed and throwing away papers and empty pill containers that I no longer needed. Then I realized that I needed to dust. As I worked on that I noticed that the books were in such disarray that I couldn't put anything away on the shelves until I organized what was there so I started taking the books off the shelves and placing them on the bed. The whole project grew until I was sitting on the floor to put books away and then getting up and grabbing another stack of books to put away. I fear that I may have overdone it and my feel increased pain tomorrow. But I didn't have any sharp pain while I was working and I didn't feel particularly fatigued.... But then again, maybe that was just because I was distracted by working. Tomorrow will tell. 10pm:I still don't feel unusually fatigued or stiff. However it is again time for sleep. |
