Thursday 5/4/06 - 31 Days Post Surgery

8am: I'm still stiff from over exerting myself on Tuesday. There is a dull ache deep in the muscles of the butt and the band through the groin. It's annoying, especially when I didn't realize I was doing too much. My leg and hip weren't complaining at all while I was active. What I think I need to do is to increase my activity a few minutes each time. I had started to rely on body feedback which obviously isn't working.

11am: I saw the doctor regarding the abscess in my incision. He doesn't like the looks of it. Although he did state the obvious, that it is near the surface and is not jeopardizing my replacement hip. He also prescribed new antibiotics.

4pm: I'm still slow, fatigued and in some pain. I took another nap today. It felt so good. I think I'm going to concentrate more on healing and gaining flexibility and less on getting back into shape.

8pm: Nothing new. I'm just going to bed.
