Saturday 4/29/06 - 26 Days Post Surgery

7am: I slept long and well last night. I still woke up every 2-3 hours but it was mostly to roll over and get comfortable. I only took Percocet once. I feel more refreshed than yesterday.

The lower half of my incision still looks the same. To me it looks nasty. But it's not very deep and it is no worse than yesterday.

As is usually the case, the day after Megan works me over I feel more stiff and fatigued. However, the truth is, when I do my exercises I am actually more flexible and have a greater range of movement.

5pm: This is the 3rd day in a row that I've felt so tired midday that I took a 2-3 hour nap! I obviously need it, because about 1pm I had difficulty staying awake. I do feel rejuvenated now thought.

I'm still concerned about the appearance of the incision. I check it at least once every hour. However the doctor asked me if I have fever or chills. I didn't then and I don't now. I took my temperature and it's 97.9 which is normal for me. So I'm going try not to be so concerned and focus my attention on something more positive and productive. It's just I listened to all the pre-surgery cautions and warnings concerning infections and the resulting problems. They educated me well and now I am concerned. In my mind it is a perfectly logical result.

10pm: I'm going to bed now. We went to the movies and got home about an hour ago. I'm tired but not exhausted.
