Thursday 4/27/06 - 24  Days Post Surgery

7am: 10 days ago I was told that I have an abscessed suture but it was nothing to worry about. The body would resolve it. I'm now worried. Within the last 24 hours it has become larger, redder, more tender and it is now oozing. I'm going back to to the doctor's office and sit there until they see me. This is not something that I want to report over the phone and schedule an appointment.

11am: I'm back home with a prescription of antibiotics. The physician's assistant still does not seem very concerned. Or maybe he just wants to reassure me so that I don't worry.I know that infection is one of the main post-op problems. I can't even go the dentist for 2 years without antibiotics. The truth is, I'm still concerned.

3pm: Concern and worry tired me out. I napped for 2 hours and I still don't feel charged up and ready for life. I feel more like watching something mildly entertaining on t.v.
