Who Why How   Brief Overview   Weekly Summary   Daily Summary   Read Journal   Monday 4/24/06 - 21 Days Post Surgery 7am: Good morning world. I slept even better last night. I still wake up every 3-4 hours and need to change my position and take 1 more Percocet. But both times I went directly back to sleep without delay. The pain is reduced to tightness during the day, so I expect somenight soon I'll sleep longer than 4 hours at a time. 1pm: Megan, my physical therapist came and worked me over. Every time she comes by I can stretch further and then she helps me stretch even further than that. When she left I walked. I didn't fatigue at a quarter mile or a half mile. So I walked a mile! 9pm: I've been active all day. At times my leg and hip feel fatigued or tight, but rarely do I feel pain. Sometimes when I've been sitting for a while my first step after I stand is not totally comfortable. And if I try to get into the car foot first and contort my hip there is a sharp pain. But the pain has become the exception rather than the rule so it surprises me now. I no longer expect it. I'm also not as tired as I have been the last few days. I feel pretty good. |
