Monkey on an Islands in Lake Nicaragua

Lake Nicaragua, which has 2 conjoined volcanic islands, also has many other islands created from volcanic debris. Our guide cruised by many of these islands on the way back to Granada. Near one we were close enough for me to take this photo.

The hour long private boat trip permitted me to see the vast number of local people that have built homes and make their living on the shore of that lake.  The guides were informative and helped us understand the nature of their life.
