We headed to Boquete because it was near a volcano, Vulcan (volcano) Baru. The instructions from Panama City were easy. Catch one of the busses heading out on the Pan American Highway and ask to be let off at the junction of hwy 17. Then catch any bus or transport going north and take it to the end of the road. The bus out of Panama City was large and air conditioned. The bus we traveled in up the winding mountain road was an old school bus painted colorfully and had bench seats that were made to fit three 10 year olds. The beautiful scenery of rainforest covered mountains helped me forget the cramped accommodations. It took most of the day to get to Boquete. Boquete Panama photolog (7): [ view>] | |
