Jacki arrived! We are going to spend 3 weeks with my sister Jacki and celebrate her 50th birthday in Paris! The plan is to see Brussels Belgium, Paris France, London England, Amsterdam Netherlands and Brugge Belgium.

Originally we thought that getting a Eurail pass would give us flexibility. What we learned was that since the 70s and 80s when the Eurail pass was 'the thing to have', times have changed and the pass is more expensive and comes with more individually priced options and restrictions.

For our three weeks together it was going to be better to have a plan, research discounts and have reservations. I never thought that I would say that.
