Ferry From Sandusky, Ohio to Canada

Day 43 - 20miles - Leamington, Ontario Canada

The ferry across Lake Erie took 3 hours so it was early evening when we arrived. Birders were in town for an annual event  and I think we got the last motel room in town. After going from one motel to the next, looking and asking to no avail, one very nice motel manager called all the motels he knew of until he found a room for us. He was embarrassed and he let us know that it was not up to his standards, but it was the only room he could find. He was right, and it wasn't up to our standards either. I didn't even shower. But it was a room and the weather outside was unseasonably cold, down to freezing.
