Plowing the Field
Trekking Annapurna Nepal Independent Travel

I am trekking on the Annapurna Circuit! The shiny white peaks of the Himalayas are visible in the distance of the clear sky. I am sitting at someone's home, which I will describe as a mud floor hut with no door. Their specialty is 'apple pie'. Apple pie consists of Tibetan Bread, which is similar to Indian or Papago fry bread stuffed with sugar and sliced apples. I ate it and it is tasty, but it drips fat and oil. I'm not so sure I'll try it again. I suppose it depends on how hungry I am.

We will hike to Bahundanda today.

The scenery is stunning, steep and dramatic. Farmers such as this man plough his field manually or with a water buffalo. Elsewhere, women in brightly colored saris and other traditional clothes plant or harvest rice, millet or lentils by hand.
